Sergi (Andorra, 1978) graduated at ESCAC (Film and Audiovisual School of Catalunya) in 2000. Before that, he completed a semester at Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore.
Sergi started his career as a 2nd Unit Cinematographer and, very soon, his passion and keen eye for image and storytelling got him working as a Cinematographer for more and more directors.
To this day, Sergi has shot dozens of commercials for renowned international directors and brands such as Nike, BMW, Honda, San Miguel, the Spanish Lottery, Toyota, Sagres, Brahma or Nintendo amongst others.
In 2010, Sergi shot his first long-lengh film, the documentary “María y yo” (María and me) directed by Félix Fernández de Castro, produced by Bausan Films, Pelis Chulas and TVE (Spanish National Television) and nominated for the Best Documentary at the 2011 Goya (Spanish Film Academy) Awards.
Sergi also shot the short film “La Culpa” (The Guilt), directed by David Victori, produced by Roxbury Pictures and Argucia and winner of the Your Film Festival, sponsored by YouTube, the Venice Film Festival and ScottFree Productions.
Sergi managed to combine his two passions (shooting and travelling) by working all over the world. Spain, the UK, Poland, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Brazil, Thailand, China, Mozambique, Angola, Morocco or South Africa are just some of the places that Sergi has been lucky enough to see.
